Day 78 Snow Pops

If you live in MN, you just have to have a snow pop....not really, but they are fun and yummy! (and not fat free by any means)  I promised the boys we would make these before the snow melted!  It's been so nice and the snow has been slowly melting.  Tomorrow has rain in the forecast, so today had to be the day!  They loved helping me with the prep work - making the round balls, deciding on the two colors for the frosting and eating whatever we didn't use.  I was also planning on having them do the drizzling and dipping, but that didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped.  The melted chocolates ended up getting hard to fast so I resorted to the stove.  We are now enjoying the end results!

  1. I've lived in MN my whole life, and I don't know what a snow pop is?! Is it just a snowball covered in melted chocolate?

  5. We call them cake pops here. I first heard of them a couple of years ago through PW's site where she featured Bakerella. http://www.bakerella.com/ Is she from around there? I might make those for treats for D's bday party in June, yum.

  7. YUM! Another reason to come visit you! We too call these cake balls, and I'm addicted. I haven't made them yet because I'm afraid I'd eat so many I'd pop. The colors on yours are lovely with the white background, and I love the vase you have them displayed in.
