Day 168 Vintage with a Punch

OK, I am cheating today.  I was going sifting through my files of pictures because I have three gift certificates for canvas'.  I came across some photos I had taken last fall and a really cool antique place.  It's someone's home.  They sell display antiques all over their yard and photographers come and soak it all up.  I thought I would give the place a whirl and we had lots of fun.  This photo was taken when I was still shooting .jpeg and on VIVID, AND when I was into more of a tilt on my camera(not bad when used right, here not so much)!!! EEEKKK!  So, the skin tones are not right, only one spot is ;)  ....But I just had to play with this photo.  The processing is more than I usually do, but thought it looked fun.  I am planning to go back to this house this weekend or next to get some recent photos of my crew for our bedroom walls.  I am also going to attempt a family shot!  I'm praying already :)
And Kristin, I promise this is not me going all whacko....you made me laugh!!!  Loved it!!  I looked at my blog and this photo just doesn't seem to fit does it??

I wanted to show you a before as well...

  1. Beautiful edit!

(Sorry I honestly don't remember what I did. I love freebie actions
(MCP, My4hens, Pure, Paint the Moon etc. and like to mix and match them. I also love Florabella, I have bought some of her actions.)

  2. I giggled so hard when I read this that the kids came in to ask me what was so funny! So touche my friend; you got a good laugh out of me today too! And don't worry, I totally understand that this is a reflection of the past and not the path of your future, so I won't be calling the looney farm to find you anytime soon. It is interesting to see how your style has changed and evolved in just a year. I do like the shot and really like the way you processed it, but I have to wonder how different it would be if you were to shoot it today, so I'm anxious to see your new shots when you go back. What a great place!

  4. Vivid is cool, too! We're going to look back at how much we've learned and laugh really hard, right?! I get more disgusted every day with a studio shot that I have framed of my son -- the focus fell on the shoe!! But I never noticed until recently! LOL

Can't wait to see your family photos in this awesome location! Boys look cute here!
