Along with a refreshing day came a really nice day. I'll even take the winds that came along with it. I'll take anything if it is above 40 and sunny. So since I really need to practice shooting outdoors, I decided to take some 20 month photos of my baby in our neighbors back yard. She was my only "partially" willing subject anyways like on most days. I apologize already for the large share, but I want my mom to see them ;) After editing them, I am thinking that maybe, just maybe my grass is weird. I didn't do anything to it. I just set my skin tones and this is what I got. What do you think? Unless it is an easy fix, it's staying :)

I am looking forward to leaves being on the trees! Dappled light is hard to avoid right now. ;)
My unprofessional opinion of the grass is that it's fine. It looks like spring green and with the other colors in the pictures, it's perfect. I love your edits here. How do you do them? I 'm glad you are having a better day.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Karren-it looks like it's the color grass is in the spring. These are adorable. I love her outfit. So glad today was better.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. The colors are prefect. And the black and white with the curls? Swoon. You always do such a beautiful job, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou did great! She's too cute with her tutu! I tried getting out yesterday with my daughter but the light was changing quite a bit and she moved so much (plus the wind) that I'm having a hard time with the edits. Sigh. Skintones will be death of me!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that things got better! These pictures are absolutely adorable. I love her little pig tail curls. The grass looks good to me, it works nicely with all the colors.
ReplyDeleteI am happy as well that your are feeling better. It does shows on your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteShe is just too cute and the location is wonderful
I agree with Karren. The grass in the early spring is that shade of green & the colors are great. Love all of the photos. I'm so glad I'm not the one that has to choose. She is a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! I just love the muted colors. Great job! The bush in my photo the other day is called forsythia. The are awesome! They bloom in early spring the bright yellow and then turn green for the rest of the summer. They are very hearty. You may be able to find someone who would take a piece of theirs for you to transplant.
ReplyDeleteThese are BEAUTIFUL, Tracy! My faves are 2,3,4 & 5. I love the color and the black and whites! My daughter would go NUTS over that tutu!
ReplyDeleteThese shots are adorable! I love your soft light.. this is the photographer that you are, and what I expect when I visit your blog. Excellent!
ReplyDeleteI really love these! And I'm diggin' that tutu!! What a sweetie pie with the cutest hair!
ReplyDeleteAs far as the edit...I really like it. The grass is fine to me and I like the softness of the tutu colors and the black and white conversions. :)
Ditto to what Kara said. You really have a unique signature look that makes your work really stand out from everyone else that I know. I know whenever I come over to your blog, I'm going to be in for a treat because even on your bad days, you are still SO good. Your mini-session with your daughter is wonderful, but that second photo just steals my heart!
ReplyDeleteI love them as is!
