Day 97 Morning Selfie

Not the greatest self portrait, but I am still working on them.  I loved the lighting in the morning on our porch!  I am not sure this turned out the way I envisioned.  I agree with Kristin about wanting to see more of me.  The sun haze was pretty heavy.  Any suggestions on how to have me pop more without loosing the softness?  I tried Contrast and increasing the blacks, but I didn't like the way that looked so much.  I think I need to play around with sun haze more!

My new edit...Thanks Melissa.  How does this look?  I feel like I am training myself all over again to shoot outdoors after shooting in the house all winter.  The sun was camera left.

I also started sorting through the wedding photographs today!!  I am so excited about them.  Here are a couple of the Bride prepping in the bathroom prior to the service.
Bride & Bridesmaids

For this photo, I stood on a tall stool which is usually used in the bar area of the golf course.  The bride is telling me not to fall through her teeth....I was also telling myself I was crazy and why am I doing this to get a photo??  hee hee... My mom is probably reading this and shaking her head ;)

Just goofing around with my XOXO sign....

And bathroom lighting is NOT fun to work with!!

  2. I really like the softness of the light on your self portrait. I need to try to take my own, but I am so scared. Not sure why.
    The wedding photos are fun

  3. You are so pretty and you have such a wonderful expression on your face that I guess I just wish I could see a tad bit more of you. But, then again, that's just me. :o)

  5. It's you! You are seriously very pretty! I love the new hair too! Your light is amazing, sheesh, I need to move to MN apparently. :) I think it's a tad over exposed. You are definitely in the right direction. A click or two down would probably help. Even if you loose a bit of haziness you can bring it back in PP, I'll share my secret with you. ;) Are you doing this with your tripod?? You're pretty good at these self portraits.

I love these photos of the wedding! I can only imagine what the bathroom light was like! But they turned out great! Sometimes you have to risk safety to get that good shot. Haha I'm such an enabler. :)

  7. I guess the selfie would be slightly more compelling if the colors popped like you said, but all in all, you are gorgeous as is the lighting and backdrop. And great job on the wedding photos...that just scares me! ;)

  9. Love the lighting. I like the first edit better. I can see why you'd want less haze on your face but I really kind of like it as is.

Love the wedding pictures too. Very fun.
