A bit speechless tonight.....It's been one of those days as a parent when you just want it to end with everyone happy. These are the moments that make parenting a joy.

I tried photographing with a my aperature almost wide open. Wish I could nail focus like some photographers I see. Something to work on over the next 8 months I guess!

You did great considering you're chasing small children! It's soooo hard to nail a wide ap with moving targets! Minimum SS 250, but some even say 500!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! I love the beautiful colors
ReplyDeleteThese are great for wide open! You are very brave to venture to that shallow of DOF. :) I don't think I've gone below 2.2 since getting my 50mm. It scares me. hehe I think the last two are my favorite. Love her peaking out behind the curtain and her eyes in the last one are stunning. :)
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! I love her sweet face!
ReplyDeleteOMG, you're killing me with all this cuteness! I can hardly stand it! I agree with the above and think you're doing really well with your focus and and a moving subject. I used to have a lot of soft focus pictures until I started setting a min SS of 250...and if I have the light, I prefer 320 or higher. That last picture is over the top adorable...WOW!
ReplyDeleteAll darling, but I especially love the last one!
ReplyDeleteThese are adorable! I have a hard time getting good focus shooting wide open too-so I don't. LOL. Maybe that's something I should practice.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are doing great to me! What a sweetheart and I love your curtains. I'm looking for some myself, but apparently they don't make what I have designed in my head.
ReplyDeleteIt helps me to set my camera to AF-C (do you shoot Nikon?) and back button focus with the moving targets. You may already do that. I love to shoot wide too, but usually stop down 1/3-2/3 a stop to sharpen it even more (the lenses usually aren't their sharpest completely wide open).
i have tried shooting at a very wide aperture...boy was it hard to nail the focus that i wanted. i got the focus but i guess it was a matter of luck. on your case, you did pretty good considering that babies at this age don't sit still...love, love those blue eyes!!!
ReplyDeleteI think you are doing AWESOME!! I have a hard time with focus too!! Love the last pic.....that little face is just priceless.
