Day 50 Two Monkeys in the Tub

I'm going on my own again today instead of doing the Joy of Love theme of Home alone.   I loved the framed door shots I saw of other photographers children and had to try one for myself.  Here's my two monkeys in the tub...

Any suggestions on the last photo?  I'm not really in love with it.  I was excited to get some bathtub shots, but then not completely loving the end product.  I see those that look so clean, crisp and bright...that's what I want to get!  I did not run post processing on either of these.  On the last photo I did put a gradient layer because for some reason it made his skin look a tad better....still not where I want it to be.  He had that normal red bath tub skin.  What are some tips you have when doing bathtub shots and a clean edit on them?  I'd love to hear them or any things I could have done to make these better?  Thanks!!

I am thinking the edited ended up being a bit too green..yellow???

  4. I LOVE, LOVE the first shot! Their heads poking up is just too darn cute! Sorry, no recommendations, I had to turn my bathtub shot into B&W because I didn't like the colors, either!

  5. LOVE the first shot! Sorry, no advice. I've never done a bathtub shot. I might need to try one with Josh, before he gets too old like his brother and sister.

  6. I love the first one!! If it were me I probably would have gone b/w on the other because I have problems with color as well, haha.

  7. These are cute. I think you could tweak the white balance a little more to see if that helps you get that look you want.

  8. The framed shot is so fun! I love those types of pictures also, but have yet to capture one I like well enough. The lighting in my house is awful so I struggle with all of my indoor photos.

I actually like the way you edited the 2nd picture. His skin tone looks much nicer than SOOC and it has a bit of a vintage vibe.
