Christmas Eve 2011....It always seems so far away once the New Year begins all over again. It's my families favorite time of the year for many reasons. It's a time for reflecting on our blessings, a time for giving and a time for celebrating. Our Christmas Eve day begins with time with some very close friends. They come over around 10 AM, we laugh a little, eat a little and watch our children open a present from them. They end up leaving around 12:30 to run back home for their special greyhound. We meet back up again at their church for some worship. It's such a fun tradition. The evening is then just our family spending time together.
I was preparing myself for the special day and happened to look over to see this. It always makes me proud when I see one of my children helping the other without much fussing. I think most parents would have to agree with me. A sibling is such a blessing!
It was a brown Christmas in Minnesota this year.
A little outtake from a family photo before church.
The lighting on this one was tricky, but I was a favorite of mine! I loved how the children were giddy and and just having fun. These are my boys and Estelle just loves their goofies!
Simply beautiful! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
