Day 287 Childhood Memory
Yes...I am skipping ahead 4 days....I just went through the few many photos I have not edited yet and came across this one. Two weekends ago while we should have been planting our 8 trees, we stumbled to the back of our woodsy area on our lot. There were long sticks everywhere. {We don't get back to this part of our yard much because during the summer it is filled with mosquitoes and wood ticks.....two of my least favorite summer guests.} Seeing the sticks brought back many childhood memories of me playing in the woods across from the house I grew up in. I held onto a stick for a moment and then said, "We are going to build a stick fort." Without much hesitation the boys' eyes were wide open with glee. So we spent the remainder of what was suppose to be tree planting time, building this fort. You will have to excuse Estelle's less of a lady like stance as she is in the midst of potty training and she had to go :)
{Day 10 of 30 Childhood Memory} Building stick forts
What fun! You are the best Mom and do such cool things with your kids.
ReplyDeleteVery cool fort! I bet the boys loved it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool mom are you!
ReplyDeleteYou made the right choice about how to spend your time. What a fun memory to re-live.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that is so much fun!!! Is it still up??? Adalyn would love to play in that. Very creative inspiration for the photo challenge!
ReplyDeleteYes, I did do my own hair. :) Getting to the salon is so difficult and that is why I went back to brown. I could get into the salon till after I got back from Chicago and that is if Karl is not working crazy hours, so I said forget it. Are you thinking about being a brunette too??? Are you naturally?
Are you an awesome mom or what! This looks way better than any of my stick forts growing up!
