Here's my little Leighton. This photo is from January when we were visiting my parents. I grew up in this wooded area. Forts, riding 3 wheeler with friends and just being a kid is what I often did among the long grass. Now the trees are so mature it looks so unfamiliar. I now enjoy it for the beautiful light that shines through the pockets and I am able to get my back-lighting fix.
I want to go there! Sounds like fun! Leighton is such a good little model. Love this shot.
ReplyDeleteAmazingly cute photo, and Iove the ymnmy light.
ReplyDeleteOK, WOW!! Just looked at your first page of posts - oh my WORD... what amazing photos! They're just masterpieces, all of them! I would die to have shots like that, seriously. The one in this post, INCREDIBLE... the one in the dryer.... BRILLIANT. And I'm dying over the sweet shots of your kids reading together.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm hating my house once again, and am soooo jealous of your beautiful light! Truly...your photos are SO GOOD.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question...no new lens. I added the zoom in Picnik, but I do know how to get it on camera too. I have never done it with a moving subject however.
ReplyDeleteOoooooo....I loooove getting my backlighting fix. I'm kinda addicted to backlit photos. :-) Loving this one.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness. This is gorgeous. Love it.
ReplyDeleteHe's such a cutie. Love his eyes.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I have the G too. This is the second copy and I thought I had it microcalibrated to work fine...but, this afternoon the kids were playing outside and I got Ben to stand still while I tested a few shots and blurry. Ugh! He was farther away. So I feel like it is calibrated close up, but not far away. I need to call Nikon tomorrow. I'm almost ready to send it back and get a D. I've heard good things about it, but I was just thinking I has this one figured out. Did you microcalibrate yours at all? Surely I wouldn't get 2 duds in a row?
